Alone

ALONE

I don’t want to be alone…

Sometimes I feel like I’m running a race that I cannot win. Or at least a race that never ends. It’s been an amazing year watching God work through One Life, with so many victories, so many answers to prayer, so many stories of hope and life renewed. But as we immerse ourselves in the community that God has placed us in, we become more and more aware of the pain, the abuse, the evil, that permeates this valley in Mexico that’s become our home.

Tonight, as I type this blog, my soul is in agony. There’s no other way to say it. The things we are learning about the plight of some of these beautiful children God has charged us to care for…their suffering, crushes me. Hebrews 13:3 tells us to remember “those who are mistreated as if you yourself were suffering”.  It’s a crippling burden to bear, and an impossible situation to minister and rescue in….alone. That’s where you come in. We need your help. We cannot do the work that God has called us to do alone. We desperately need God, and we need you.

So come, join us for our Celebration Night at 7 p.m. on Nov. 2nd at Chilliwack Alliance Church, to hear and see what God has been doing in Mexico, and to celebrate His healing power. But come knowing there remains a massive need, a need that we can’t tackle without your help. Come prepared to join us on the next step of this amazing, painful, and joyful journey that God is leading us on.

Lately, I’ve been clinging to one particular bible verse, John 16:33,”I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. BUT TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD”. Thank you Jesus!

I’m so glad I’m not alone!
